Implementasi Aplikasi Kasir untuk Meningkatkan Efektivitas dan Efisiensi pada Toko Umum

Manual transaction processing in general retail stores often results in calculation errors, inefficiencies, and difficulties in managing inventory and financial reporting. This study aims to develop a cashier application to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of store operations through automated transaction and inventory management. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the waterfall model for system development. The resulting cashier application successfully facilitates transaction input, staff management, and product inventory with user-friendly interfaces. Testing with a small group of users indicated that the application improved transaction speed and accuracy, although it still lacks advanced features such as stock tracking and receipt printing. Real-time product scanning and database integration were identified as key areas for further enhancement. These findings suggest that a well-designed cashier application can significantly improve operational performance in small-scale retail businesses, and future development should focus on expanding its functionality to support broader business needs.
