Author Guidelines

Please read these guidelines carefully before submitting your manuscript.

1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts are written in English or Indonesian.
  • Submit the main text in .doc/.docx or .rtf format (not PDF).
  • Minimum length 5,000 words (≈ 6–15 pages). Editors may allow more than 15 pages if justified.
  • Use Cambria 12 pt, single column, A4 size, normal margins.
  • The manuscript must be original and contribute to scientific advancement in JSEET’s scope.
  • Use a reference manager (Mendeley/Zotero/EndNote) with the IEEE citation style.
  • Similarity (Turnitin or equivalent) must be < 25%.

2. Structure of the Manuscript

  1. Title
    Concise (12–15 words), informative, avoids formulas; in Indonesian or English.
  2. Authors
    Full names (without academic titles). For multi-author papers, provide complete contact details.
  3. Affiliations
    Full affiliation(s) including department, institution, city, country; include postal code (if applicable) and corresponding author’s email.
  4. Abstract (150–250 words)
    One paragraph covering background, objective, methods, key results, conclusion, and contribution to science.
  5. Keywords
    3–5 keywords (English), in alphabetical order.
  6. Introduction
    Background, problem statement, significance, brief and recent literature review leading to research gap and objectives (≈ up to 1,000 words).
  7. Methods
    Provide enough detail for reproducibility: materials/equipment, procedures, datasets, evaluation metrics, and data analysis. Recommended sub-sections: Instrument, Data Collection, Data Analysis.
  8. Results and Discussion
    Present main findings clearly with non-redundant tables/figures (generally 3–7). Do not repeat table/figure content verbatim in text; focus on why/how the findings occur and their implications/limitations.
  9. Conclusion
    One concise paragraph stating the key takeaways aligned with objectives and the contribution to science (no numbering/bullets).
  10. Acknowledgment
    Credit contributors/funders; include funder name and grant number (if any).
  11. References
    Use IEEE style consistently via a reference manager. Ensure all references cited are listed and vice versa.

3. Formatting Notes

  • Tables and figures must be cited in the text and include clear titles/captions and units.
  • Images should be high-resolution; vector formats preferred for diagrams.
  • Use SI units and consistent notation.

4. Submission Checklist

  • Manuscript uses the JSEET template and is in .doc/.docx/.rtf.
  • Similarity index < 25%.
  • All authors, affiliations, and corresponding email are complete.
  • Figures/tables properly labeled and cited.
  • References follow IEEE style via a reference manager.
  • Ethical statements (if applicable: IRB/consent/data availability) are included.
