Focus and Scope

The journal publishes research articles on various matters related to fundamental and applied geography. Our scope of publications include physical geography, human geography, regional planning and development, cartography, remote sensing, geographic information systems and environmental sciences. The journal publishes articles on interdisciplinary content and cross-cutting dimensions related to Geography from various perspectives. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

This journal is open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or / institutions. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full-text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author. Indonesian Journal of Fundamental and Applied Geography (IJFAG) provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. We do not charge both for article submission and processing. Screening Plagiarism

All articles submitted to Indonesian Journal of Fundamental and Applied Geography (IJFAG) will be screened and checked for plagiarism by using plagiarism detection tools. The author is responsible for the authenticity of the submitted manuscript. The authors must ensure that the written works are fully original and if the author uses the work and / or sentence of another person then must use the citation or quoted correctly.

Authors who publish in Indonesia Journal of Fundamental and Applied Geography agree to the following terms:

  • Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

Publication Frequency

This journal will be published three times a year: January, May and September. Every issue consists of 5-15 articles and therefore every volume has max 45 articles.
